The ancient spirit of sub-Saharan Africa is given contemporary expression with our Serengeti scatters. Traditional motifs and an understated colour palette inspired by the plains of Africa come together to create a collection that is ideal for modern décor schemes that could do with a grounding element. Taking a traditional approach to their craft, local textile designer Carole Nevin and her team have hand-printed the Serengeti range, which features nuances and imperfections that enhance its character. Composed of a cotton-linen blend, each scatter is finished with flat piping detail and includes a 100% duck feather inner.

Can you make any custom made item?
Yes, anything, we pride ourselves on keeping everything local as far as we can. Most of our items is Made in South Africa.
Some of our products are imported but all are made locally by us. We have a small team of designers and artisans who do all the work from start to finish.

Where are you based?
We are based in White River, Mpumalanga but we have and still work all over South Africa. Lateral Designs has been privileged enough to do work in such places as the Netherlands, Mauritius, Oman,
Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ethiopia & Mozambique.
What do we love about our job?
We love our clients! Without them, we wouldn't be able to do what we do for a living so it's great to get feedback on how their spaces turned out after all our hard work.
